IFP is a Proud Sponsor of the Especially For You Race Against Breast Cancer December 13, 2022August 25, 2020 by IFP The Especially for You Race Against Breast Cancer is a 5k walk/run or 1-mile family walk whose mission statement is, “…to raise funds for individuals unable to afford mammograms & other breast-care services, gynecological cancer screenings, other support services, and to educate individuals on the importance of early detection.” For the past 29yrs. this event has drawn thousands of participants (over 14,000 last year alone) to run/walk throughout downtown Cedar Rapids and has supported over 10,000 individuals with access to services. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic this year’s race on October 11th will be a virtual event. What is a virtual race? A virtual race is an event that you can participate in anywhere at your leisure. You can run/walk/treadmill it right from your own home, gym, park, trail, etc. IFP is once again proud to support its employees and family members by sponsoring 50% of the registration fees through August 31st. Registration includes the long-sleeve t-shirt shown below. Breast cancer survivors will receive a special survivor scarf.
