Mobile Controls Engineer

Summary:

IFP Motion Solutions Inc. is looking for a Mobile Controls Engineer 1 to join our talented team. This is an entry level position, and you will be working with several of our mobile OEM customers maintaining and troubleshooting controls systems for a variety of mobile machines across multiple industries. Mobile Controls Engineer 1 responsibilities will include:

Job Duties:

Provides application/control systems maintenance and troubleshooting for systems of varied complexity.
Modify programs used on mobile PLCs and displays to fulfill customer requirements.
Develop proficiency in several programming languages and control device networks for mobile controllers. Interacts with customers to gain an understanding of the business environment.

(Training on use of software packages and network communication protocols used will be provided.)

Define scope, plans and deliverables for assigned work.
Work successfully in a matrix structure; focused strongly on customer service and personnel growth.

Job Requirements

• A minimum 2 years work experience installing/maintaining/troubleshooting mobile or industrial electronic controls. System integration experience or a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
• Desire to learn programming concepts along with software packages used on mobile PLCs and displays.
• Basic electronic installation/troubleshooting skills
  • Use of an electronic multi-meter as a troubleshooting tool
  • Be able to follow electronic/electrical schematics
  • Schematic design using AutoCAD or similar
• Experience successfully interacting and working with customers at multiple levels of responsibility in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Have solid verbal and written communication skills.
